Makes 3 Dozen
1 cup (2 sticks) butter, softened
1 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
1/2 cup granulated sugar
2 large eggs
1 tsp pure vanilla extract
2 Tbsp water
2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
24oz package of semi-sweet chocolate morsels
1 cup of chopped nuts (optional)
Preheat oven to 350 degrees
1. Beat butter and sugar until light colored and creamy. Beat in eggs one at a time until well blended. Add vanilla and water and blend.
2. Combine flour, baking soda and salt; gradually stir into butter mixture. Stir in chocolate morsels and nuts (if desired).
3. Drop rounded teaspoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheet, about 2 inches apart. Bake 8-10 minutes or until golden brown. Cool and enjoy!!
